"Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers." 3 John 1::2 (NASB)
In my work as a chaplain, Biblical Counselor, and even among my family and friends I have witnessed over and over again what I like to call the uneducated patient. People are given a diagnosis or they are simply suffering with some sort of undiagnosed chronic condition and that's it. They either suffer with a prescription because it is not the right treatment for their biological makeup and the medication causes more illness or they have no prescription because they have lived with their chronic condition for so long that it has become their norm. Their lives and relationships are greatly impeded and sometimes the result is death. These scenarios play out much too often and the majority of them do not need to. Another set of people are educated about their condition and what they may need but they do not have the resources to obtain the results that they so desparately need. There is yet another group. This group of people are educated about their condition, they do have the resources, but they do not have the supportive living environment that they need to regain wellness. Our desire and goal is to provide a Christ-centered place of healing to those who truly desparately need it.
Whole Heart Mission Retreat is working to obtain the property needed to make available to individuals and families that are suffering from certain chronic mental and physical health conditions a 4-day, 7-day, or 30-day comprehensive wellness helps program with well qualified integrative health professionals and laypeople that utilize proven recovery modalities.
Individuals and families have easily burned through their savings, retirement, and even small inheritances or they have had to mortgage their homes to simply keep up treatments that may or may not help.
Whole Heart Mission Retreat is working to make our helps program available to qualified individuals and families regardless of their ability to pay because we do not believe that an individual or family needs to stare in the face of bankruptcy to achieve health wellness.
Through the services that we will offer, it is our hope that each person who will come finds the hope, encouragement, and restorative healing that they need. We are so very excited as we are currently in the planning and fundraising stage. If you are touched by our vision, goals, and mission please consider becoming a donor and giving the opportunity for someone to live a healthy and whole life!
